TACS: Task One - Simultaneous to Sequential Incongruence

TACS: Task One - Simultaneous to Sequential Incongruence - In this task, we will begin working on the goal that we set up in the Well-formed Outcomes Process at the end of the assessment phase. Simultaneous incongruence is the experience of inner conflict and commotion created by ego states with competing goals. It's very difficult to sort out the issue with all that commotion going on in our inner world. When we get triggered, we need a way to remain objective and not get pulled into the chaos and the emotional turmoil as we attempt to heal. Ego-State Therapy and NLP helps us sort out all this with the concept of sequential incongruence. This is the process of projecting all the parts involved in a conflict or symptom into our outer world, spatially separating us from them so that we can communicate. The conflict remains, but the commotion is quieted down as the parts involved are sorted out. Now, before we proceed, please be aware that a wounded part may present itself anywhere in the processes or tasks outlined in the recovery phase. If this occurs too early, before we're ready, say in Task Four, you'll need to place the wounded part into a safe container. That could be anything you can imagine from a safety bubble, to a special room with safety glass. Just a safe location where it can observe and maybe even participate without being at risk of further woundedness by a critical or shaming part.Remember, the early phases of this part of the program has to do with getting the managers to step aside and allow access to the wounded part without fear of making things worse.
