TACS: Task Five: Developing a Trusting, Warm and Safe Connec

Task Five: Developing a Trusting, Warm and Safe Connection - It's very important to send the Wounded Part empathy and compassion from your most adult ego state, even if you find that part distasteful at first. If you do find it difficult to have empathy for this vulnerable part of you, ask the part that creates that lack of empathy to step out into the room, to the left or right of you, and work with that part to get it to stand down. As you have with all the other managers, find out what it thinks and feels towards the vulnerable, wounded part of you. Work to reassure and to get It to step aside. Just as with any other manager, it's imperative for you to be clear and in your objective adult ego state to be able to take the wounded part of you through the following exercises. In this task we must witness the stories of the wounded exile before we try to heal it. Exiles need to be heard, understood, taken seriously, and validated, just like anyone. If you find that you've reached an impasse, then reach out to a therapist or coach.
